Otsuka and RSMM Partner to Implement Mental Ease at Workplaces Program

BOGOR, July 9, 2026 – As a tangible embodiment of its commitment to safeguarding and enhancing holistic wellbeing in the workplace, Otsuka Group Indonesia today officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital (RSMM) Bogor. This strategic partnership positions RSMM, which serves as the National Referral Hospital for Mental Health, as a collaborator and partner in implementing the "Mental Ease at Workplaces" program.

The signing ceremony held today was accompanied by an interactive talk show titled Mental Ease at Workplaces, which explored the challenges and comprehensive solutions in creating a work ecosystem that supports employee mental health in the modern era.

This collaboration carries a strong mutual mission for both parties. On one hand, Otsuka is fully committed to supporting the mental health of employees within the RSMM environment. On the other hand, RSMM has expressed its readiness to support Otsuka through interventions by its professional staff for the handling of mental health conditions among Otsuka employees and partner companies collaborating with Otsuka under this program.

Sudarmadi Widodo, HCD & Corporate Communication Director of Otsuka Group, affirmed that this initiative represents a strategic step by the private sector in supporting the government's agenda. "Through the Mental Ease at Workplace program, Otsuka demonstrates the private sector's commitment to supporting the Ministry of Health in fostering mental health across Indonesia. This is in line with our company philosophy: Otsuka-people creating new products for better health worldwide," he said.

This synergy received a warm welcome from the national referral hospital. Dr. dr. Nova Riyanti Yusuf, Sp.KJ, expressed her deep appreciation for the initiative led by Otsuka. "We would like to thank Otsuka for initiating the Mental Ease at Workplace program. Through this collaboration, RSMM employees will be facilitated with access to mental health support services. This will serve as a pilot project, and we hope it can become a best practice for other hospitals," Dr. Nova explained.

She further added that RSMM is committed to overseeing the program over the long term. "We are committed to supporting Otsuka in running this program by providing access to professional staff at RSMM. What matters most is that the outcomes of this collaboration deliver real impact and become a sustainable program," she emphasized.

This progressive step taken by Otsuka and RSMM also received strong attention and support from regulators. Dr. Ockti Palupi Rahayuningtyas, MPH, MH.Kes, who attended virtually, stated that cross-sector collaborations such as this form an important foundation for public health within productive environments. "This MOU signing marks an excellent beginning. I highly appreciate the full commitment shown by RSMM and Otsuka in implementing this workplace mental health program," she stated in her remarks.

Through the Mental Ease at Workplaces program, Otsuka Group Indonesia and RSMM hope to establish a new standard for human resource management in Indonesia — one where workplace productivity goes hand in hand with sustained employee mental health.
